Title: paradise
My piece shows a island with palm trees , a segal and a boat floating on the water. Its about dawn in the day the sky has reds, oranges, and yellows showing the sun rising. There is an bridge where people can stand on and fish or even just look at the view. The most obvious element in the piece is color and the most obvious principle is movement.
I added different techniques to my piece to get the final piece. I started by mapping out my piece and then I did four different pictures and picked the best one. Then I used the wet on wet technique to create my wash and underpainting. After about 3 layers of underpainting, I used the wet on dry technique to add details. I used round brushes for details and flat brushes for the washes.
My piece was inspired by when I went to Florida to visit Disney world and sat on a beach and the palm trees were all around Florida. When I visited one of the theme parks they had a big boat as a ride that swung from left to right and would get higher and higher every time
My goal as an artist was to learn how to use watercolor and turn it into a realistic piece. Yes, this piece helped me reached the goals I turned the water, trees and the sky into a more realistic picture instead of flat. I think the techniques I learned helped me achieve my goal and create a realistic watercolor painting.
I learned a variety of techniques including, wet on dry, wet on wet, using a masking fluid that keeps the white space and how to build up use layers making the piece look more realistic. The final piece is almost exactly how I imagined but I will be happy with the end result. I will use these techniques in future pieces I create. This piece will influence my future piece because I will use building layers and taking my time and both of these techniques is something I can use in the future.
Title: Nature
This piece shows surrealism. He is very close up and there are flowers instead of eyes. The most obvious element is color. I used a variety of green values to make the leaves look more realistic. The most obvious principle is balance. I used different colors but not too much of each one to move the viewer's eye all around
This piece was created using 6 different colors. I used a variety of techniques to create colors to make this piece look realistically. I used layers. I also used a round brush to add detailed lines in the hair and flat brush to paint the big parts like the background.
My inspiration for this piece was showing how important nature is and people don't realize it. My work is meant to show the beautifulness of nature. I tried to invoke surrealism and the importance of nature.
My goal as an artist with this piece was to create surrealism and add fine lines and details. When painting its hard to get a different color and different values of the color. I wanted to challenge myself to find a way to get different colors and different values. I think I accomplished my goal by trying a variety of colors to make skin and leaves I feel my final piece shows surrealism.
Overall, this piece turned out as I imagined. It shows surrealism and looks like the person has flowers instead of eyes which were my intentions. This piece will influence my future works in making different colors with other colors because I am happy with the end result.
Title: Blooming
This piece shows a very colorful flower pot. It's a close up pick and a shadow to reflect the piece. The obvious element is color. I used a variety of different colors to make the flowers look more realistic. The next obvious element is contrasted I used the contrast of colors to make the leaves look more realistic also. I used blending to make the colors look more together.
This piece was created using Portfolio Oil Pastels. I used different techniques to make sure this piece is realistic. I used light and heaving blending for the flowers, and i used the blending stump to get in the little places of the flowers
My inspiration for this piece is the rainbow and fall. I think the colors of the fall are really beautiful. My work is meant to show the changing of the leaves in the fall and the variety of colors in the rainbow combined. I want people to think of beauty when they view it.
My goal as an artist was to create realism, color, blending, and details.i challenged myself to get the details with the pastel .i didn't accomplish my goal because I am not finished with my final piece. I feel my final piece will be realistic
Overall, this piece will turn out how I imagined it. It will be realistic and more detailed. This piece will influence me to finish my pieces so that I can get the results I want. I will use pastels in the future as well because i like how the colors blend.
Title : Baby potrait
My work is a portrait of a baby very close up she look like shes taking a photo shoot. The most prominent element in my piece is value. The most obvious principle is contrast
To created my art by using a grid . then i mapped out my piece , next i used shading and finally i used contrast.
My inspiration for this piece was i liked the flower and the baby was cute. The emotion i tried to convey was happiness
My goal as an artist was to finish my piece and make it look as similar to the portrait as i can.I did reach my goal because i followed through with the whole project.
By creating this piece i learned how to use more contrast, and draw eyes more realistic .Overall i do like this picture because it look very similar to the portrait and i tried my hardest and i did very well.I will use what i learned on this piece for future works because all the techniques i learned made the piece look better and more realistic.
Title: Own zone
This piece shows a converse shoe with the legs crossed. The view is very zoomed in on the shoe specifically. The most obvious element is the value. I used a variety of shades to show the creases of the pants and shoes. The most obvious principle balance. I used shade in the pants to shoe the crease to move the viewer's eye around the piece.
This piece was created using B pencil shadings. I used a variety of techniques to make this piece realistic. I used B - 6B in the face to show the value.. I also mainly used 6b to add details in the pant and shoes.
My inspiration for this piece was that I like converse shoes. I thought it would be cool to have them look at really see the details close up on a converse shoe. My work is meant to show just a shoe and pants. I tried to invoke to show more details in those who viewed it.
My goal as an artist with this piece was to create realism and add details. I wanted to challenge myself to find a way to get the details in the pants in shoes with shade pencils. I think I accomplished my goal by trying a variety of techniques and finally getting the small details in different areas I feel my final piece is realistic.
Overall, this piece turned out as I imagined. It is realistic and looks like and real shoes and pants which was my intent. This piece will influence my future works in trying more shading. I will use shading in the future as well because I am happy with the end result.
Title: pollution
My art piece is a turtle surrounded by trash and has a soda can plastic on its neck. My subject matter is a Sea turtle. The title of my piece is Sea turtle pollution. The most obvious element I used is color. The most obvious principle I used was emphasis, movement, and balance.
My media is made from acrylic paint, I created my piece by using flat and round brushes. Round for details and flat for the background. Also, I made sure whichever way the object was going was the way my arm went and the paintbrush.
My work expresses pollution in the ocean. People should recycle and use it for something. Trash doesn't belong there with all the beautiful animals. The emotions I tried to show in my piece is sympathy for the sea turtles
My goal as an artist is to get better in all my pieces. This piece shows my improvement because the paint is more smooth and it all really blends together.
I learned is take my time and really focus on every detail it'll look better and come out looking more realistic. Yes, my piece is exactly what I imagined . This will influence me by using more acrylic because I think I do a really good job with that media.
Title: Thorn lamp
My piece shows an old lantern piece. It is a closeup view. The title of the piece is lantern it represents apart of the world that plays a big part. The elements I used were lines, form, texture, and shape. The principles I used were contrast and balance.
This piece is created using pen and ink. I used different textures to make it look more realistic. First, I mapped out my piece using a pencil and then I did different ideas using a variety of pen textures until I found the right ones that I thought made the picture look more 3D. Then I started adding a pen and lines to form the shape of the lantern. finally, I used different textures to help create different values.
My goal for this piece was to learn how to use the contour line to make it look more 3D. I think I reached my goal and i feel like i completed something i thought i couldn't do . Practicing different sketches and looking it from different vies/perspectives helped me figure out which sketch i thought was better. That really helped me achieve my goal
In this art piece i learned how to use different contour lines to make my piece look realistic and less flat. i also learned how to include line quality and add texture pen and ink. My piece is not all the way how i imagined it to be but i think its good enough. This piece influenced me because when i start my water color piece i will take a risk it may not turn out right but i can always fix it and make it better and i may have to even change a little part of my your piece to make it better.
